At Campbell Construction, we understand the vital importance of workplace safety, and take proper precautions and provide necessary training to make it a priority.

Key Safety Initiatives

A general contractor must keep all team members up to date on safety practices and standards. As part of our continuing commitment to safety, Campbell Construction holds a quarterly safety meeting for all employees that provide updated training and discusses key safety issues. Our Company Safety Committee also meets on a quarterly basis with input from management, trade professionals, and field supervisors.

Safety training continues in the field with weekly “Toolbox Talk” briefings. These safety training sessions are led by Field Managers at individual job sites. These efforts have earned our team an Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation Experience Modifier Rating of .50.

Recognized Safety Compliance

Internal company training is only a part of how we prioritize safety. All field employees are required to complete/obtain a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health certification, while managers must complete/obtain a 30-hour certification. We are also a drug-free workplace, and provide employees with necessary personal protection equipment when they are hired.

Finally, we perform thorough job site safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and our own policies. These procedures have helped Campbell Construction earn the Gold Level S.T.E.P. Award for 10 years in a row, as well as a group rating from the BWC.

Making safety a priority ensures that design-build projects are completed in a timely manner while reducing the risk of injuries and accidents. If you’d like to learn more about the safety precautions used by Campbell Construction at each job site, feel free to contact us today!
